36 drivers from 12 countries participated in the first round of the SIMGEAR F4 Summer Challenge on the legendary Laguna Seca track. Divided into three classes – AM, PRO-AM, and PRO – the drivers battled it out in two epic heats, full of twists and surprises.

Bulgarian driver Martin Yankov started as the leader, having set an impressive time of 1:21.247 on his eighth lap during qualifying. Spanish driver Gonzalo Prieto placed second with a time of 1:21.313, while Viktor VÅrbanov and Fahad Sayyed rounded out the second row.

The first race was highly dynamic and intense. Despite Yankov’s success in qualifying, luck was not on his side in the first race, and after a series of small mistakes, he finished in ninth place. Gonzalo Prieto won the first race, followed by Gian Zoutewelle in second and Kristian Novev in third. The fastest lap of the first race was set by Martin Yankov, but even that wasn’t enough to maintain his lead in the race.

The second race brought even more excitement. With an inverted grid for the top 10 from the first race, Theodor Ivanov made a strong debut, and Martin Yankov took full advantage of the opportunity to win the race. Theodor Ivanov finished in second place, displaying remarkable skill in the battle for the podium, while Kris Vražilov finished third. Viktor Vŭrbanov, despite his strong pace, received a penalty for incidents and finished in 26th place, but recorded the fastest lap of the second race.

The next round of the championship will take place on June 22nd at the Okayama circuit, where the drivers will fight for new victory positions in a race that promises even more excitement.
